Broad Interests
My main research interests lie in mammalogy, ecology, and ecotoxicology.

I am interested in examining the interaction of organisms and their environment, particularly when these relationships are impacted by anthropogenic processes (e.g. mining).
Tar Creek Superfund Site

The Tar Creek Superfund Site is a 40 mi² area in NE Oklahoma contaminated with heavy metals from old mining efforts, primarily lead, zinc, and cadmium.

I am interested in examining the effects these heavy metals are having on local fauna. This is the current site focus for my master's thesis.

During my undergraduate research, I examined the impacts of prescribed burning and aspect and edge habitat composition.

I also conducted a GIS project in collaboration with the Northeastern Technology Center, mapping the density of privet, an invasive shrub, throughout the RSU nature reserve.
